Support our classroom!

Our classroom has three (3) DonorsChoose requests current at the moment. Two of them are very ambitious, but would bring technology into the classroom, which makes a big difference for students.

The debate testimonials on the blog are one example of the way students can use technology to help them practice important ELA skills. Even such a small piece means students are thinking about and practicing: writing/scripting, public speaking, thinking about an audience, writing for publication, persuasive writing/speaking, etc. The radio project would also allow students to participate in other projects, such as student blogging, because it would mean there would be computers in our classroom all the time.

You can see all three requests at the links below.

1. Help get our school on the air!
2. Debaters need computers!
3. We need male protagonists!

Wachovia is providing matching funds. Any donation helps — the way DonorsChoose works is that donors often fund projects that are near completion, so demonstrating a level of support, even if it's just small donations, is crucial.

Help prepare our students for high school and college. It's tax deductible!
