You have three "shelves" in GoodReads — the books you are reading right now, the books you have read and the books you would like to read.
First, add the book or books you are reading right now. Say a little bit about them when you add them to your shelf. Say what page you are on. Be sure to add the non-fiction book you are reading in class!
Second, add all the books that you've read this year. Give each a short (no more than 5 sentences) review and give it a rating.
Third, start looking for your friends! add me as a friend as well, so I can see what you are reading and what you've read.
Finally, when you've found a couple friends, add at least two books that they have read to your "to-read" shelf. These are the books I will expect you to read next.
